Understanding Your Results
Fat Oxidation Rate: This represents how much fat your body was burning per hour during the session. Typical ranges:
- Beginner/Untrained: 0.2-0.4 g/min (12-24 g/h)
- Trained Endurance: 0.4-0.6 g/min (24-36 g/h)
- Elite Endurance: 0.6-1.0+ g/min (36-60+ g/h)
Intensity Impact: Fat burning decreases as intensity increases above ~65% VO₂max (roughly 75-80% FTP). Very high intensities may show negative fat burning, indicating you were burning more carbohydrate than consumed.
